So we’ve all heard the saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
Now, go search Pinterest with that phrase. I’ll wait.
Somehow, adding vodka to that became the refrain. I’m ok with that, I mean lemon drops are tasty. But that’s not my favorite lemonade treat.

While cruising online I came across this super cute print on Etsy under ScissorsPaperMouse. I’m a big fan of good typographic work and this print is just too cute! They have a lot of other cute prints and artwork too, so I highly recommend you check them out!
But you see, my now mature palate is more interested in Gin. That pine-cony flavor mixed with lemonade, grenadine and ginger ale though – a classic Tom Collins? Now we’re talking.
So I decided to make my own version.
A little free clip art for the fruit and some of my favorite free fonts (Simplicity!) put together got me this little beauty…
Ok, so there should be some ginger ale listed in there too, but you get the idea.
I only made a small version designed to fit an empty 4×6 IKEA frame we had. But it would be easy enough to re-create for a larger print if I need. That’s the beauty of Photoshop!
So there you have it, a quick little piece of artwork I whipped up, inspired by some pretty type-tastic art I saw on Etsy. My version isn’t quite as polished looking as the piece on Etsy, but it’ll do for my purposes.
Don’t forget to check out my inspiration, ScissorsPaperMouse’s shop!
