A Little Fall Decorating (And shameless deal bragging!)

So, it has officially been Fall for about a week now.  I’ve given in and enjoyed my first Pumpkin Spice Latte (Free with my living social coupon after 3 friends bought the deal from my link), and it was just as wonderful as I remembered it to be.

MMMM my first Pumpkin Spice Latte

Which means now it is finally time to share a little fall decorating (and shameless deal hunting) that I’ve been up to.

Fall 2012 Decor

Of course we have a lovely Ampersand in our living room.  I’ve used great restraint to only have ONE so far…. so far.  It was a full price find at Target last year, but those sort of things tend to go quick, so I bit the bullet and paid the full value.  The votive holders are from my previous project here.  The pumpkin was from my college days and managed to survive the multiple moves, while the milk glass it sits on is from the ReStore where it cost me a whopping $0.50.

Fall 2012 Decor

In case we were in the mood for entertaining, I have a stash of my favorite fall treat, Candy Corn!  (they make easy wine glass charms too!)  And the darling yellow tray is from a clearance section hunt at West Elm – only cost me $4! (reg. price is $24!)  Not sure if it will remain that sunny yellow, but I have a few $1 cans of spray paint courtesy of the ReStore that could easily change it up if need be.  Eventually it will be the ‘anchor’ piece in a bookcase that will house a bar section.  The spiderweb fabric you’ll recognize from the Spooky Votive project, and yes that is more über cheap ReStore milk glass.

If you look close there’s a B (clearance at Target $6.99) on the second shelf of our craigslisted Crate & Barrel coffee table.  (That table cost me only $75…. new at C&B would have been min. $400!)  To top off the table for a fall/halloween look there’s a burlap remnant I scored at JoAnn’s (1.5 yards, total cost of $0.37 after sale and remnant discount!) serving as the runner for an arrangement of my spooky candles in a plain vine wreath ($0.50 at ReStore) with faux leaves scattered beneath and around.

Spooky Votives

Ok, fine, one more gratuitous photo of my votives.  Made from recycled ikea candles (99 cents each), mod podge and some old spiderweb lace.  I love the insides with the gold webbing, while the outsides are more muted with a silver webbing.  Pretty and spooky at the same time!

So have you been up to any fall thrifting?  What sort of fall decorating have you done lately?
