You may have notice a bit of artwork in our RASTafari reveal. Well, here’s the quick tale of a post-it note from the heart.
You see, the obvious drawback of living in two different places is that Bill and I don’t get to see each other nearly as much as we wish we could. To combat this a bit, I try to hide notes around Bill’s apartment for him to find after my visits end. That way I can bring a smile to his face even when I’m not there. Usually they’re simple post-its stuck in places he’d find – like in the fold of his wallet, in his calendar, or on the keyboard of his closed laptop. (I want him to find them eventually so they can’t be too cleverly hidden!)
Well, he had saved one particular note and it was just sticking around our desk. Then, genius struck during a date-night at Ikea when I saw a cute Virserum frame on sale for $1.99. I snatched it up and when I got home, popped the post-it into the frame – it’s a tad small but still looks super cute in its new place of honor. And for a total of about $2, it’s a little piece of sentimental artwork I can agree with.
Have you made any frame-worthy artwork lately?
