One of the drawbacks of long distance is not always getting to be together on special days.
Fortunately I thought ahead to be sure he’d have his birthday presents, even if I couldn’t be there the day of. AND it gave me the prefect opportunity to use this awesome faux bois wrapping paper I got in the Target dollar spot. I tried to make it look like the message was ‘carved’ into the wood.
I also wanted to experiment with wasi tape, as I am trying to figure out my gift-wrap theme this year. What better time to try it then now? Blue and white, Penn State, and faux bois paper for my carpenter-ly boyfriend. Sounded about right.
Not sure I like the tape instead of ribbon, but it would be cute to use for adhering gift tags, or in place of tags.
