No, not the fruit! When revealing Bill’s favorite gifts, you got a sneak peak at one special gift I made for Bill – a Date night Jar.
I came across a few of them on Pinterest and was particularly inspired by one I saw on Revamp Homegoods.
My parents are big on canning – specifically spaghetti sauce and apple sauce. So mason jars are usually easy to come by. The rest of the materials are easy to come by. Here’s what you’ll need:
A jar to keep the date night ideas in.
- Popsicle sticks to label (I actually used pre-painted tongue depressers that were on sale at Michael’s)
3. Markers to actually label the sticks.
I used the 4 colors to signify different types of dates. Red was for inexpensive plans, yellow for plans that involve travel and time to arrange, green for expensive dates and blue for moderate/medium priced dates.
Then it just came down to coming up with ideas!
I left some of the sticks blank and wrapped them up with some pretty wasi tape so that Bill could also add some ideas too. Then I tucked them in and added a cute label.
This probably took a total of 15 minutes. It may take longer than that if you don’t use the pre-painted sticks, but even so it is still a super easy and super sweet project.
What sort of gifts have you made for your honey?
