Whelp, we haven’t been at this blogging business for very long. But here’s a quick rundown of the top events since Finding Our Voice in this little corner of the web this past August.
September was a busy month where we flexed our carpentry skills and shared a few of our most popular posts. We showed you how to easily knock off a Z Gallerie chevron frame…
Then we showed you how we turned the room that housed a box-spring and mattress into an actual bedroom with the help of our Ikea Rast Hack for a nightstand and then used a door to make a Headboard (we named Doormir) to tie it together.

Bill used his skills with a scroll saw to create a convenient nook for my side of the bed and solve the dilemma we had with not having enough space for 2 nightstands.
Our second most popular crafty post happened when we shared a simple mod podge project with old Halloween costume fabric.
And another project that had me ready to throw my sewing machine out the window was the Duvet I made, based off one that was used in How I Met Your Mother.
One of our biggest road trips of the year happened when we made the 6 hour trip to Cincinnati to meet John & Sherry of Young House Love!
We also took advantage of the trip and hit up a the Taft House National Park, and introduced you to a new Travel Series and our life goal of seeing every national park in the country and getting stamps in our passport along the way.
Next, I again managed to wrangle the sewing machine to liven up our living room in Pittsburgh with new Back-tab chevron curtains! (There were matching envelop pillows too.)
Bill & I celebrated our 2 year anniversary in November since we started dating. Awwwww!
We FINNNNALLLY put something on the walls, in a BIG way by adding photo ledges above the couch.
And even found a way to add more art while simultaneously dressing up the intercom using an old picture frame and cork board.
Then the holiday craft season was upon us, and started off with a ReStore thrifting find that turned into a DIY Cloche.
I also tried my hand at the lyric canvas trend. I think next year the snowman is getting a hat.
Some last-minute JOY was made before we hit the road for the holidays.
And while on the journey we managed to sneak in another National Park Trip, this time to Hopewell Furnace.
There were plenty of other projects and journeys mixed in there, including our Inexpensive Art series too.
It has been a helluva (quarter) year!
We’ll be back tomorrow with resolutions and goals for 2013 – and yes, there are more walls to be covered!
