So I left you the other day with my closet half-done with a fun chevron carpet on the floor and not much else. Not bad, but a fun floor covering does not a closet make. So I needed handy means of storing both random assortments of things as well as clothes and shoes. Of course… Continue reading Creating an Organized, Cute Closet

That Time When I Took Over The Closet
So as has been established, Bill and I moved in together. We took this little 1 bedroom apartment and made it fit two people's stuff. It wasn't terribly difficult, but it wasn't easy either. The biggest challenge? Closet space. Though I've never showed it, the bedroom only has one closet. No big deal, but the… Continue reading That Time When I Took Over The Closet
Ding Dong the Duck is Done
Pittsburgh had an unusual visitor over the past month. He was big, yellow, and thought to have brought good luck to the Pirates. He was a giant, forty feet tall and three stories wide Duck. Bill and I took a trip down after going out to dinner, because nothing says romance than a giant duck.… Continue reading Ding Dong the Duck is Done
A Little Fall Decorating (And shameless deal bragging!)
Bringing back another old favorite, featuring the Mod Podge candles I re-blogged yesterday. Enjoy!
So, it has officially been Fall for about a week now. I’ve given in and enjoyed my first Pumpkin Spice Latte (Free with my living social coupon after 3 friends bought the deal from my link), and it was just as wonderful as I remembered it to be.

Which means now it is finally time to share a little fall decorating (and shameless deal hunting) that I’ve been up to.

Of course we have a lovely Ampersand in our living room. I’ve used great restraint to only have ONE so far…. so far. It was a full price find at Target last year, but those sort of things tend to go quick, so I bit the bullet and paid the full value. The votive holders are from my previous project here. The pumpkin was from my college days and managed to survive the multiple moves, while the milk glass

OhModgeGod! – Spooky Mod Podge Candle Upcycle
Bringing back a favorite post in honor of the upcoming Halloween Holiday. Check out this spooky Mod Podge Upcycle for some old empty votives!
OhModgeGod! Yes, I’m making it happen, and no Mean Girl will stop me.
I saw this post on CraftyScrappyHappy where she upcycled a Bath and Body Works candle by screen printing a pretty lace pattern on it.
They came out beautiful and they inspired me to try my own version, only I don’t have the money to spend on a whole collection of Martha goodness for only one project. Instead, I used some scrap lacy spiderweb material I had from an old costume and leftover votive holders that remained after the Ikea candles were gone.

So I bought my first bottle of Mod Podge. OhModgeGod! [dun Dun DUNNNNNN] (See what I did there?) It kinda makes me feel dumb for buying it because there’s gotta be a cheap way to make it yourself…but I digress.
To start out, I taped a regular piece of computer paper to the votive holder…

Ironing Board Cover turned Pillow

The weather has finally turned, the air is crisp, and hoodie season is upon us. I LOVE this weather!
